An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Repairs Engineer to support in‑service aircraft structural repairs within a highly technical aerospace environment. This role sits within a specialist engineering team responsible for delivering safe, effective and timely structural repair solutions for commercial aircraft. The successful candidate will be involved in evaluating structural damage, authoring repair solutions and providing direct engineering support to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate daily customer requests relating to structural damage on in-service aircraft
  • Author and release Structural Repair Instructions
  • Provide technical support for both minor and major structural repairs
  • Investigate historical damage and repair cases to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Support the development of generic repair procedures for recurring damage scenarios
  • Participate in design organisation activities and release approval documentation

About You

  • Strong experience in aircraft structural repair engineering
  • Knowledge of both metallic and composite repair principles
  • Experience working with aircraft structures
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods
  • Able to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

  • Wing repair experience (structural repair experience also considered)
  • A400M or A350 aircraft experience
  • Approval level RTE1 / RTE2 / RTE3 (RT3 preferred)
  • Experience with composite repairs
