Contract Type: 6-Month Initial Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella) with potential for extension
Hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week

About the Role
We're working with a major player in the UK renewables sector to find a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a large-scale offshore wind programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to front-end electrical design on a high-profile transmission and generation project, working within a collaborative engineering team on complex substation and balance-of-plant design.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver front-end electrical engineering design work
- Develop electrical contract documentation, including preparation and management of substation and electrical balance of plant contracts and Works Information
- Write, review and update technical specifications for substation and electrical balance of plant equipment
- Review external contractors' design documentation to ensure client requirements are met
- Attend Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests of major substation components to confirm adequate testing has been achieved
- Offshore wind electrical design experience
- Substation layout design, primary equipment specification and testing experience, up to 400kV
- Strong technical knowledge of renewable electricity generation or transmission
- Good working knowledge of engineering legislation and industry good practice relevant to substation design, primary plant and protection
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand the implications of engineering decisions
