Carbon60 are working with a long-established, fast-growing interiors specialist to recruit a Senior Estimator / Project Manager for a key leadership role based in Plymouth. This business is a leading player in the commercial and education fit-out sector, known for delivering innovative, high-quality projects across the South of England.
The Role:
- We are looking for an estimator who has experience in project management.
- You will work across multiple fast-paced refurbishment and interior fit-out projects across the South of England.
- Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and project success, leading a small team of estimators and PMs while acting as the main client point of contact post-sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labour, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
- Analyse drawings and project documentation, liaise with clients and design teams.
- Lead projects from estimating through to delivery, ensuring timelines, budget and quality expectations are met.
- Manage project schedules, progress, budgets, change orders and closeout documentation.
- Oversee and mentor a team of 3 estimators/project managers.
- Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven background in estimating and delivering interior fit-out/refurbishment projects (commercial or education).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project delivery best practices.
- Previous leadership or team management experience is highly desirable.
- SMSTS.
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, MS Project).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
The Package:
- Basic salary up to £60,000.
- £6,000 Car Allowance.
