Job Location: Gosport, UK

Job Duration: Permanent

Hours: 8am to 4.30 Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Note: The client is offering both permanent and contract opportunities for the same role. The contract position will be for 6 months, and the client is offering both PAYE and Umbrella payment options for the contract opportunity.

Summary: As a Production Operative, you will play an essential role in assembling, testing, and assuring the quality of advanced electrical systems used within defence technology. You will be part of a highly skilled team working on innovative products that support critical national security projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble units and PCBs—including soldering—following detailed Work Instruction Sheets, customer drawings, and specifications.
  • Work with a high level of accuracy and quality, with the ability to work to IPC standards (e.g., IPC‑A‑610 for electronic assembly).
  • Ensure all routings and Work Instruction Sheets are followed correctly throughout all production activities.
  • Maintain full compliance with company Health and Safety regulations.
