Production Manufacturing Engineer – Long term on going role

PLEASE NOTE: Position will be split between working at a location in Castle Donington and at a location in Chesterfield – Travel expenses will be paid to you for working in Chesterfield.

• £45,000 per annum
• Holiday pay
• Travel expenses paid for commute to Chesterfield
• Monday to Friday – Days
• 08.30-5pm

Principal Duties:

• Overseeing transition from ad hoc repair of industrial equipment to dedicated repeat repairs and overhaul of equipment
• Working with design and engineering teams on new products.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues plus Identify areas for improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles.
• Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment.
• Castle Donington

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
• Full UK Driving licence and own transport
• Willingness to travel between Castle Donington and Chesterfield -for which expenses will be paid
• Previous experience as a production or manufacturing or process Engineer
• Very good knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards
• Good experience in CAD software and production planning tools
• Experience with lean manufacturing
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Long term job, starting asap, £45,000 per annum plus travel expenses paid when travelling to Chesterfield location.

This is an ideal role for an experienced production, manufacturing or process engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering OR Industrial engineering OR manufacturing engineering, and living in areas such as Derby, Castle Donington, Nottingham, Loughborough, Burton Upon Trent, Derby and the nearby areas to Castle Donington.
