About the Role
As a Packing Operative, you'll be responsible for the packing and palletising of cartridge sets and rocket motors, which are essential components of the ejector seats produced on-site. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in this role, as you'll be handling materials and goods with the utmost care.
Key responsibilities of the Packing Operative position include:
- Ensuring all materials, goods, and stock are properly packaged, labelled, and prepared for dispatch
- Updating the SAP system to accurately track the progress of packing operations and the preparation of goods for dispatch
- Receiving and reconciling all incoming materials, goods, and stock, and ensuring they are correctly marked and safely stored
- Maintaining and operating the packing area machinery and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and handling instructions
