They are looking for someone to own the full lifecycle of their Firestop (cavity barrier) portfolio, leading everything from product development and compliance through to technical specification, engineer engagement and market introduction, both in the UK and internationally. You will operate as a trusted technical authority, working closely with engineers, façade consultants, installers, certification bodies and global colleagues.
- Product Development & Compliance
- Lead technical development, testing and certification of Firestop products
- Ensure compliance with relevant BS EN standards, approvals and classifications
- Maintain and develop robust technical documentation, test evidence and installation guidance
- Specification & Engineering Support
- Provide expert technical input into façade and passive fire protection specifications
- Deliver advanced engineering support to projects, including site-based technical input where required
- Support international markets with product introduction and technical knowledge transfer
- Industry & Customer Engagement
- Act as a senior technical contact for engineers, consultants, façade specialists and specialist installers
- Deliver technical training, demonstrations, audits and installation reviews
- Represent the business with credibility across the fire safety and façade engineering community
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with supply chain teams to align product availability with technical demand
- Support Marketing with technically accurate content for datasheets, literature and digital platforms
What You’ll Bring
- Degree-level education in fire engineering, construction, civil/mechanical engineering — or equivalent technical experience
- Strong experience in passive fire protection, ideally cavity barriers, façades or building envelope systems
- Solid understanding of fire testing, approvals and certification pathways
- Confidence interpreting and communicating complex technical data and standards
- Credibility working with senior engineers and construction professionals
