Overview
Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Logistics Supervisor to work for a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider based in Haydock.
ROLE: Logistics Supervisor
PAY RATE: between £14.79/hour – £17.26/hour, between £30,000 – £35,000/annum. Overtime available on weekdays at 1.5x rate variable to business needs.
JOB TYPE: Temp to Perm
LOCATION: Haydock (WA11)
HOURS: Full time, Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm, 39 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Daily vehicle checks on all commercial vehicles and FLT\’s (training and checklist provided)
- Receipting and checking stock as it arrives
- Collection and delivery of equipment to suit customer needs.
- Daily route planning for deliveries in terms of priority and location
- Manual handling with bulky items, ability to secure loads meeting H&S requirements
The Successful Candidate
- Knowledge of handling heavy/large loads and how to secure them.
- Warehouse/Stores/Goods-In/Logistics and Supply Chain experience in a stock handling role is essential.
- UK clean active driving license is essential.
- Competent IT literacy skills to use in house system and MS Office are essential
- An active FLT counterbalance license is beneficial but not essential (refreshers can be offered for in-house or expired licenses).
- H&S qualification is beneficial but not essential e.g. IOSH for risk assessments.
