Job Description

This position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. As the Logistics and Customs Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, support, and guidance in the company's trade operations. This will include managing the shipment of landing gear to and from the company's facilities worldwide, liaising with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensuring compliance with all applicable trade regulations and customs requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee the clearance of shipments into the USA and other international destinations, working closely with the company's customs broker.

– Define and implement customs regimes and processes to ensure compliance with trade laws and regulations.

– Evaluate and identify opportunities to leverage customs simplified procedures and special programs to streamline operations.

– Manage day-to-day customs and trade compliance issues, resolving problems expeditiously to maintain the smooth flow of goods across global borders.

– Conduct risk assessments, support internal and external audits, and implement corrective actions to address any compliance gaps.

– Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Legal, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless trade compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

– A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. A master's degree would be an advantage.

– Minimum 5-8 years of experience working in a trade, transport, or supply chain environment, with at least 3 years in a management role.

– Extensive knowledge of customs procedures, trade regulations, and product classification.

– Experience with customs applications (CHIEF/CDS) and SAP would be beneficial.

– Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.

– Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

– A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
