Our client helps their customers meet new, demanding and often complex production challenges within the UK food and beverage industry by redesigning and improving their industrial processes. They identify opportunities within change programmes to deliver significant progress in productivity, monitoring and cost management. Specifically supporting customers with the design, manufacture and installation of large process vessels, machinery and process pipework.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced pipe fitter welder to join the company supporting a range of projects across the South West of England.
DutiesAs a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter TIG welder, you will be working on site at a food production facility in Lifton, Devon PL16 0AA. Typical duties will include:
- Fabricating and butt welding back purged, schedule 40, 2' to 8' OD 60.3mm to 219mm carbon steel thin wall and 25mm to 100mm metric stainless steel pipework.
- Fabricating brackets and associated supports.
- Assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.
35 minutes from the beach, this is a great place to work this summer.
About YouBased ideally in Devon or Cornwall, you will need to live within a commutable distance of PL16 0AA. You should have demonstrable experience of fitting and TIG welding thin wall process pipework within a food, drink or petrochemical processing environment, with good all-round welding experience and current or previous coding's to back this up. You'll need full PPE and tools including air fed mask, welding set, power tools and pipe stands.
