The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a general labourer - driver to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting major process pipework and plant installations across the Midlands and South of England.
Duties
- Working in a modern, well equipped and well-ventilated workshop in Burton on Trent, DE13 8TD with occasional site visits to install when necessary.
- Assisting with the fabrication and finishing of pipe spools, vessels, machine guards, rails, platforms and other ancillary metal work associated with the food and beverage industry.
- Assembling metal parts, handling and moving materials and prepping surfaces - grinding, sanding and polishing.
- Keeping work areas clear, ensuring deliveries are stored safely and assisting the fabricators and welders when required.
About You
- Based ideally in Burton on Trent, living within a commutable distance of DE13 8TD.
- Demonstrable experience of general labouring ideally within a workshop environment although full training will be given.
- CSCS or a similar health and safety qualification is preferred.
- Full UK driving license is essential as you may be asked to use the small company van to deliver parts to site.
