Groundworker in Kingston upon Hull

GROUNDWORKER

Carbon60 is looking to recruit experienced Groundworkers to carry out maintenance and repair work across commercial and public sector buildings in the Oldham area.

ROLE: Groundworker

PAY RATE: £23.00 – £26.00 per hour (Umbrella)

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term – November 2025 to November 2026

LOCATION: Oldham

THE ROLE:

The Groundworker will support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a range of facilities. The role involves carrying out general groundworks, external repairs, and improvement projects to ensure all areas are safe, functional, and completed to a high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out various groundworks including flagging, kerbing, block paving, tarmacking, concreting, and excavations

Prepare and lay foundations, ramps, and footings

Assist with reinstatement and repair of external areas and surfaces

Ensure all works meet company quality and safety standards

Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good condition

Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time

Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional conduct on-site

Leave work areas clean and safe at the end of each shift

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in groundworks, civil works, or general construction

Good understanding of health and safety practice

Full, clean UK driving licence

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Strong communication and organisational skills

DESIRABLE:

Experience in public or commercial maintenance environments

Ability to assist with minor multi-trade tasks when required
