Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Oversight & Project Support
    • Provide independent on-site oversight across multiple sites, acting as a visible and accessible presence for contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
    • Monitor quality, programme, cost and compliance against agreed scope and approved documentation.
    • Maintain a clear understanding of the full project scope and technical requirements.
    • Support the Project Manager by identifying, managing and escalating risks, defects, delays and technical issues.
    • Ensure decisions, changes and risks are accurately documented and reported.
  • Technical Assurance (Clerk of Works)
    • Verify works against approved drawings, specifications and relevant technical standards.
    • Ensure compliance with scope and change-control processes.
    • Monitor workmanship and materials, challenging and reporting non-conforming works.
    • Confirm contractor delivery aligns with agreed plans and compliance expectations.
    • Produce clear, evidence-based site and compliance reports.
  • Health, Safety & CDM
    • Monitor compliance with CDM Regulations and confirm statutory duties are being discharged.
    • Review RAMS, permits, isolations, access arrangements and temporary works.
    • Act as a visible safety leader, promoting a positive health and safety culture.
    • Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations.
  • Project Assurance
    • Provide independent assurance that works meet statutory, technical and contractual requirements.
    • Monitor contractor performance against programme milestones and highlight emerging risks.
    • Review construction sequencing where safety, quality or operational risks are identified.
