Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:15pm (9-Day Fortnight)

Are you an experienced HSE professional who enjoys balancing compliance, administration and hands-on engagement with operational teams? Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer producing critical safety equipment and helicopter fuel systems, is looking to appoint a Senior HSE Advisor to support the continued development of a positive and proactive safety culture across its production operation. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable maintaining compliance systems and documentation as they are building strong relationships on the shop floor and influencing safe behaviours across the workforce.

The Role

  • Reporting into the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and continuously improving the site's Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Supporting compliance with HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing risk assessments, COSHH and safe systems of work.
  • Monitoring HSE performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting audits, inspections and behavioural observations.
  • Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Coordinating HSE training and maintaining compliance records.
  • Building strong relationships with production teams and operational leaders.
  • Driving workforce engagement and promoting positive safety behaviours across the site.

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or another safety-critical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working both in an administrative/compliance capacity and actively on the shop floor.
  • Proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
