We are currently seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Mobile Engineers to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical building services plant at a site. The successful candidates will ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual KPIs, statutory requirements, and site procedures. This role also involves supporting business continuity, including emergency and out-of-hours response when required. This is a mobile role in Hampshire, vehicle, phone, tablet & tools will be supplied along with full uniform & PPE.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM tasks in line with site schedules and CAFM systems
- Attend and resolve reactive maintenance call-outs promptly
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical plant
- Carry out Legionella monitoring, fire alarm testing, and compliance checks
- Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in safe working condition
Compliance & Documentation
- Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance documentation accurately via CAFM systems (e.g. PlanOn)
- Prepare and work to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Operate Permit to Work systems in accordance with site and client procedures
- Maintain site logbooks and adhere to sign-in/sign-out processes
Health, Safety & SHEQ
- Work in line with Health & Safety and SHEQ policies
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly
- Ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated and fit for purpose
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a professional on-site representative
- Respond to helpdesk and client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with the Helpdesk to provide updates on PPM and reactive tasks
- Supervise subcontractors where required
General Duties
- Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms and work areas
- Present a professional appearance at all times
- Provide flexible support, including short-notice cover if required
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in multi-skilled building services maintenance
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using CAFM systems
Qualifications β Electrical/Mechanical (Preferred)
- C&G 236 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382)
- C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 (desirable)
- BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC
