Our client, a leading company in this field, is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Operator to join their team in Bolton. Job Title: General Operator Location: Bolton Industry: Defence Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite Salary: £17.80 rising to £18.80 PAYE after 13 weeks (£23.91 – £25.26 Umbrella) Duration: 12 Months (Likely to be extended) Work Pattern: Standard Days: 7:00 AM – 3:36 PM (Monday-Thursday), 7:00 AM – 11:36 AM (Friday) 12 Hour Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Either Sunday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Friday) Nights: 10 hours/night (Monday-Thursday)Security Clearance: BPSS Only Interview Process: Face to Face Responsibilities: Perform detailed standard assembly and manufacturing tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and timescales. Facilitate the efficient movement of work and information within the manufacturing area. Maintain compliance with agreed standards and behaviours in all activities. Adhere to all health and safety requirements.Departments: As a General Operator, you may be assigned to work across various departments, including: Micro Electronics Looming PEC Assembly Plastics Department Manufacturing Control/StoresSkillset/Experience Required: Experience in microelectronics and soldering under a microscope. Dexterity for fine work. Ability to read and interpret layouts and follow instructions. Willingness to work flexible shift patterns. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. PC literate.Target Industries: Candidates must have manufacturing experience. Experience in the defence/aerospace industry is not necessary.
