Location: Filton, Bristol (minimum 60% onsite)

Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2026 (likely extension)

Rate: £57.50 per hour Umbrella / £42.98 per hour PAYE

Hours: 35 hours per week

IR35: Off‑Payroll (IR35 applies)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fuel Systems Engineer to join the development team of a leading aerospace organisation on a long‑term contract basis. The role focuses on continued airworthiness and product development within complex aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting equipment qualification activities, including review of supplier design evolution sheets, specification updates, and equipment qualification
  • Providing production support to resolve test failures and contribute to improvement projects
  • Supporting development modifications, including system updates, performance changes, and equipment evolutions
  • Investigating in‑service issues, including major in‑service problems, safety‑related items, and requests for work

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Background in aerospace or aviation engineering
  • Avionic or fuel systems experience
  • Strong understanding of system design principles, verification and validation
  • Experience working with real‑time system control tools such as MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
