About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a school construction/refurbishment project in Faringdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Site Manager with a proven background in managing construction projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day site activities from start to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
- Carry out site inspections and maintain high health & safety standards.
- Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any site issues promptly.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
- Manage material deliveries and site logistics.
- Oversee quality control and ensure defects are rectified promptly.
Essential Requirements
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Black CSCS Card (Management Level)
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project programmes.
