About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a school construction/refurbishment project in Faringdon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Site Manager with a proven background in managing construction projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day site activities from start to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
  • Carry out site inspections and maintain high health & safety standards.
  • Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any site issues promptly.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Manage material deliveries and site logistics.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure defects are rectified promptly.

Essential Requirements

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • Black CSCS Card (Management Level)
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project programmes.
