We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a refurbishment project involving cavity wall installation, replacement of windows and doors, door undercuts, and the installation of a new ventilation system. This contract role is ideal for candidates who have previously supported similar works within residential or commercial property environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Manager with day‑to‑day onsite operations to ensure works progress safely, efficiently, and to specification.
  • Oversee subcontractors completing cavity wall insulation, window and door installations, door undercuts, and ventilation system fitting.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, compliance, and workmanship.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, including maintaining site documentation and supporting toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate with trades, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain workflow and resolve any onsite issues promptly.
  • Support the management of material deliveries, site logistics, and scheduling.
  • Record daily progress and contribute to reporting for project stakeholders.
  • Assist with snagging, handover processes, and ensuring project timelines are met.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor role.
  • Knowledge of cavity wall insulation, window/door installation, ventilation systems, or related building refurbishment works.
  • Strong understanding of onsite health and safety standards (SSSTS/SMSTS desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a site delivery team.
  • CSCS card (required).
