Carbon60 is recruiting for a Customer Operations Advisor to support on-site operations at a large manufacturing facility in East Leake, Leicestershire.
PAY RATE: £13.06 per hour (£27,164.80 per annum)
CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary contract – 3 months
WORKING PATTERN: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contracted hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
1-hour lunch break (official)
8:00am – 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch if preferred; however, contractual hours remain 8:00am – 5:00pm.
THE ROLE: The Customer Operations Advisor will play a key role in supporting day-to-day site operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. You will be customer-facing, supporting engineers and colleagues on-site, managing stock movements, and ensuring accurate system updates. This is a hands-on role combining stores, customer service, and administrative duties, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve customers on-site, booking goods in and out accurately
- Support engineers via the trade counter and stores area
- Manage goods receiving, stock issuing, and documentation sign-off
- Carry out stock checks and stock counting activities
- Maintain accurate records across IT, customer, and ERP systems
- Respond to email queries and support customers at the counter
- Store goods safely once received
- Assist with unloading deliveries where required (no heavy lifting without aid)
- Maintain general housekeeping in the stores area in line with health & safety standards
- Support continuous improvement and 5S principles where applicable
Full uniform and PPE provided.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Comfortable working in an industrial, customer-facing environment
- Strong communication skills to support on-site customers and engineers
- Basic IT literacy to accurately update systems and records
- Previous stores or stock management experience beneficial but not essential
- Manual handling experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Kerridge) advantageous
- Exposure to 5S or continuous improvement principles beneficial
- Well organised, reliable, and safety-conscious
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Office-based role within a manufacturing site
- Buses available from Nottingham and Loughborough, with a bus stop outside the site
- Hi-vis and safety footwear provided on start if required
