BI Developer/Analytics Engineer
Contract Position with Leading UK Airline, Hybrid out of Heathrow
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team to focus on creating comprehensive dashboards and robust data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in dashboard development, data transformation, and analytics.
You will bridge the gap between backend data processing and frontend visualization, ensuring our operational teams have access to reliable, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
? Design, develop, and deliver user-friendly, visually compelling dashboards. You will primarily build and maintain these visualizations using Amazon Quick.
? Execute complex data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation tasks primarily with SQL to prepare datasets for analysis.
? Discover, connect to, and process data from a variety of sources, combining expertise in traditional relational databases with modern AWS cloud data services (e.g., Amazon S3, Athena, Redshift, and Glue).
? Translate business needs for data presentation and narrative into non-technical KPIs, charts, and dashboards.
? Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Required Skills & Experience:
? Professional background as a BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or a similar role involving dashboard development.
? Proven expertise in dashboard creation and development. Deep practical experience and strong command of Amazon Quick is essential for this role.
? Extensive experience in advanced SQL for data manipulation and transformation in complex datasets.
? Understanding of data engineering concepts (e.g., ETL pipelines, data quality, and governance).
? Experience with Python for data processing, automation, and any additional analytics workflows where applicable.
? Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
