Carbon60 is actively recruiting for a Commercial Lead with extensive experience in contract management, quantity surveying, and cost control to support a high-profile project in the petrochemical sector in Hull this is ideal role a strong commercial lead based in Hull or surrounding areas such as York,Leeds and Sheffield . This is a key role for ensuring robust financial governance, cost efficiency, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely submission of Applications for Payment (AFP), ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
- Lead change order management throughout the construction lifecycle, negotiating and reconciling changes to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide cost planning and forecasting while informing engineering priorities based on financial impact.
- Perform quantity surveying activities, including valuations, cost audits, and variation assessments.
- Track and manage contingency budgets, ensuring alignment with the scope of work and approvals through client-specific systems.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, including forecasts and contract reviews, meeting company deadlines.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports with a focus on forecasting and budget management.
- Highlight trends through exception reporting and propose enhancements to financial processes.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Similar commercial lead or quantity surveying role, ideally within a contracting organisation.
- Engineering or commercial qualification
- Strong experience in the petrochemical sector or related industries.
- Familiarity with SAP or other project controls software (desirable).
- Evidence of dispute resolution experience (advantageous).
- Professional membership (e.g., MRICS or equivalent) is desirable.
