The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The employee will be involved in the installation and commissioning of a range of CCTV systems. They will have a strong understanding of a range of CCTV products and the underpinning theory as to how they operate. The Security Engineer must be fully conversant in not only the physical installation of the CCTV systems but also understand the client's requirements and be able to transition them into a commissioning plan and then undertake and document that commissioning process.
As part of this role, the engineer must also be a capable structured cabling installer as they may be involved in installing the network infrastructure the CCTV sits on or aid in the installation of structured cabling systems in other areas of the business as the need arises.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Team leader, they will work alongside other members of the team and independently.
- The role will also entail promoting team development and career enhancement advice where possible.
- To carry out the installation, testing, and maintenance of CCTV & Security Systems.
- Installation of a mix of systems to a high standard and to manufacturers' standards.
- Working to an extremely tight programme as part of a large team.
- To ensure SH&E processes and procedures are always implemented.
- Maintain all plant and specialist tools as supplied by Electranet in good condition to allow all works to be carried out in a safe manner.
- Comply with all Client procedures and processes when working on site.
- Experienced in commissioning CCTV systems and hold or be willing to work towards CITMA accreditation (Milestone).
- Ability to carry out upgrades on server-based platforms, NVRs, and Windows operating systems.
- Familiar with IP topography and IP protocols.
Experience and Qualifications
- Ability to read diagrams and schematics.
- Minimum of three years' experience of working within a similar role.
- Ability to install, terminate, test, and maintain all types of security systems, including CCTV, CEM, and Paxton products (Formal training with a Manufacturer preferred).
- Milestone Technician level one holder.
- PC literate to update, install, and manage network changes.
Other Requirements
- Essential: Ability to obtain MOD SC clearance and willing to undergo DV clearance if required and/or MOJ clearance and willing to undertake other clearances.
- Excellent IT skills to include the MS suite of products with a strong focus on Excel.
- Good communication skills.
