Health and Safety Manager - Waste & Landfill Operations (National Role)
The Role
Lead risk and assurance across landfill, energy recovery facilities, agricultural services, and construction operations. Establish strategic vision for R&A function, develop team capability, oversee planned maintenance and construction project support, drive risk culture and continuous improvement across nationally distributed sites.
What You\'ll Do
- Develop and implement risk assurance strategy across multiple waste treatment facilities
- Lead auditing programme and trend analysis on technical and construction risk
- Support planned maintenance outages and capital projects
- Drive consistency in risk management and operational improvements
- Influence stakeholders across operational sites nationally
- Champion active risk culture across the business
What We Need
- 5+ years Safety Advisor or Safety Manager experience in waste management, landfill, energy recovery or construction
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Auditing experience (internal/external)
- Stakeholder influence and site-based credibility
- Excellent communication - internal and external facing
