Overview

Are you an experienced Avionic Fitter or Wireman looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their team and play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and airworthiness of their fleet of helicopters.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplishing work assigned by the Installation Supervisor or Certifying Engineer
  • Maintaining high standards to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft
  • Manufacturing electrical looms and avionic systems in accordance with design data
  • Conducting off-aircraft work in workshops as required
  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the hangar, including aircraft movements and general housekeeping

Qualifications and experience

  • Completed a formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline
  • Experience on Airbus Helicopters
  • Initial Human Factors training
  • Ability to accurately interpret detailed wiring diagrams and associated data
  • Recent experience of manufacturing wiring looms, including terminating connectors and carrying out continuity testing
  • Recent experience of on and off-aircraft soldering and crimping techniques
  • Knowledge of the use of specialist test equipment related to electrical and avionic systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, to high standards
  • Flexible and positive approach, with genuine enthusiasm for the role
  • Reliable and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Well-organized and methodical, with attention to detail
