An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of major HVDC transmission infrastructure projects as part of a long‑term strategic investment programme. The role supports the delivery of civils and building works associated with large onshore converter station developments, working within a multidisciplinary project environment and alongside framework supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating project activities across a complex construction environment
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment & Wellbeing standards
  • Assist with programme, cost and budget tracking to ensure delivery to schedule
  • Interface with contractors, design teams and internal/external stakeholders
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, change events and technical submittals

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience within a project delivery or construction environment
  • Understanding of construction practices and site-based delivery
  • Exposure to AC substations, HVDC converter stations or complex infrastructure projects advantageous
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, the Health & Safety at Work Act and relevant HSE legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Aware of NEC3 contract administration preferred
