We are seeking an experienced Software AG (webMethods) API Gateway Specialist to join a secure, Defence-aligned programme. This role will support the design, implementation and ongoing management of API Gateway and webMethods solutions within a highly regulated environment.
The position is offered on a part-time, 12-month contract basis, with predominantly remote working and occasional on-site attendance as required.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement and maintain Software AG API Gateway solutions supporting cloud implementations
- Install, configure and support webMethods products across multiple environments
- Create and maintain logical and deployment architecture views within Software AG
- Design and develop APIs in line with agreed transaction methods and coding standards
- Enable secure API connectivity between networks with differing data security classifications
- Configure and manage ORDS endpoints and API Gateway proxying
- Implement and support Terracotta database caching solutions
- Support API Gateway connectivity to databases
- Integrate SOC/SIEM tooling with webMethods platforms
- Contribute to Defence accreditation, compliance and assurance processes
- Expert-level experience with Software AG API Gateway
- Extensive experience using API Gateways to support cloud-based integrations
- Strong expertise in installation, configuration and maintenance of webMethods products
- Proven experience in API design, transaction handling and governance standards
- Experience supporting secure integrations across multiple network classifications
- Hands-on experience with:
- Database connectivity via API Gateways
- SOC/SIEM integration
