About the Role
Carbon60 are recruiting for an experienced ICT Engineering Manager to support Navy Digital in delivering technical support and engineering services across maritime digital systems used by Royal Navy platforms and establishments. You will play a key role in managing engineering activity, system installations, technical documentation, defect resolution, and ongoing system upgrades. This position operates within a complex and evolving defence digital environment, requiring strong technical capability and confidence working across multiple secure networks and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering management and technical oversight of maritime ICT systems.
- Produce installation, configuration, and engineering documentation for system deployments.
- Manage day‑to‑day engineering outputs and the performance of supported systems.
- Deliver routine change requests, upgrades, and system improvements.
- Liaise with stakeholders and external agencies to coordinate installation and support activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise across technical forums and working groups.
- Install ICT services onshore and onboard maritime platforms when required.
- Undertake defect management, troubleshooting, and system rectification.
- Provide out‑of‑hours support to operational users when necessary.
- Support network configuration and ongoing system management activities.
What You’ll Bring

- Ability to operate flexibly across multiple locations, including onboard platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication capability.

Working Arrangements
- You determine your own working methods and approach.
- Travel may be required to UK naval bases such as Portsmouth, Devonport, Faslane, Rosyth, and others.
- Occasional international travel to support deployed Royal Navy assets.
- Travel and subsistence costs reimbursed in accordance with contract allowances.
- Monday – Friday working pattern.
