About the Role

As a Wing Design Build Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's Single Aisle (SA) and Widebody (WB) Component Delivery Teams (CDTs). Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the link between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring co-design solutions that are suitable for the industrial system while maintaining an engineering and customer-centric perspective.
  • Supporting the design definition and communicating the industrial requirements to the wider engineering community.
  • Providing 'lineside' build support and serving as the focal point for any Engineering topics within the Wing Plant CDTs, including root cause analysis investigations into all abnormalities arising from design queries.
  • Proactively identifying product improvements that support modifications to reduce Recurring Costs, Non-Recurring Costs, and Non-Conformances throughout the SA & WB value stream.
  • Supporting initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through the application of methods, tools, processes, and other capability improvements.
