Stevenage | 4 Days Onsite | 6-Month Contract | Up to Β£55 per Hour (Inside IR35)
A leading engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its highly skilled engineering team on an initial 6-month contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically complex products, supporting the design, development and delivery of cutting-edge engineering solutions. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to testing, manufacturing support and product validation.
Responsibilities
- Produce 3D CAD models, detailed drawings and technical documentation using Creo.
- Carry out mechanical design activities for components and assemblies.
- Support manufacturing teams in resolving design and production issues.
- Contribute to design reviews and engineering assessments.
- Support environmental, functional and qualification testing activities.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
- Perform tolerance analysis, material selection and design calculations where required.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality and manufacturing requirements.
Essential Experience
- Strong experience using Creo (PTC Creo) for mechanical design.
- Background in the design of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team. xiskglj
