The Opportunity:
Carbon60 are looking for an experienced NC Programmer to join their client's high-profile Manufacturing Engineering team within a fast-paced aerospace production environment. Working on night shift as part of a lineside support team, you will play a key role in supporting production, resolving technical issues, and driving continuous improvement across machining operations. This role is ideal for a Manufacturing Engineer or NC Programmer who enjoys hands-on problem solving in a live production environment and thrives in a collaborative, engineering-led setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide lineside support within a manufacturing station environment
- Define and develop NC programs in line with Engineering and Manufacturing specifications
- Support the specification of jigs and tooling, including numerical simulations
- Validate, optimise and test NC programs prior to release
- Integrate NC programs via DNC systems or directly on machines
- Support demonstration tests alongside Production, Quality and Work Preparation teams
- Produce supporting technical documentation including instruction sheets and simulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement and longer-term efficiency projects
About You:
- Minimum NVQ Level 4 / HNC (or equivalent)
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering or NC Programming
- Experience working in a production or shop-floor support environment
- Previous experience using CATIA and SAP is highly desirable
- Understanding of aircraft or complex assembly build philosophy is advantageous
- Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
