This company, a renowned global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a talented and dedicated Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join their team at their renowned site in Filton, UK. As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and manufacturing of various Airbus commercial and military aircraft wings. Reporting to the Build Production section, you will be responsible for completing tasks to the highest standards, utilizing your expertise in aerospace or engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from engineering instructions and understand aircraft drawings
  • Perform a variety of tasks, including the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
  • Potentially work in confined spaces, such as tank work, which may involve restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to new ways of working

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field
  • Excellent self-motivation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Keen interest in health and safety standards and processes
