Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace research and technology development? Carbon60 is seeking a talented Aerospace R&T Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic client in Filton.
As the Aerospace R&T Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Filton Plant Industrial Architects team in the preparation and assembly of the company's wing research and technology demonstrators. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering an industrial plan for wing research demonstrator projects
- Providing input to manufacturing project change processes by assessing the impact of design changes
- Liaising with the production team on scheduling and operational resource planning
- Collaborating with the jigs and tooling team to ensure enablement of jig design and delivery
- Managing and planning detailed delivery specifications to meet Quality Assurance requirements
To succeed in this Aerospace R&T Manufacturing Engineer role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing engineering or production environment
- Solid understanding of aerospace structures and manufacturing techniques
- Proficiency in using CAD tools, particularly CATIA V5
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work autonomously and act as an interface between design and manufacturing
- Fluency with standard office IT tools, including Google Suite
This Aerospace R&T Manufacturing Engineer position offers a competitive hourly rate of £34.39 for PAYE or £46.00 for Umbrella, with the potential for a contract extension beyond the initial 01/03/2027 duration.
