C++ Software Engineer - 12 Month Contract
Bristol | 5 Days Onsite | Β£65-70 per hour (Inside IR35) | Initial 12 Month Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering organisation working on complex, safety-critical defence systems.
You will play a key role in the redevelopment of an existing software console application, creating a modern, maintainable and verifiable solution from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop a new software console application using C++ and Qt. Define and implement robust software architecture for a long-term strategic product. Work throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to verification and validation. Produce clear technical documentation to support development and certification activities. Collaborate with systems, integration and verification teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Contribute ideas around new tools, technologies and development approaches to improve engineering efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong software engineering background with an understanding of system-level impacts. Commercial experience developing applications in C++ and Qt. Experience across the full software development lifecycle. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a wider team.
