Are you a skilled Mechanical Planner with experience in the aviation industry? Our client is seeking a talented Mechanical Planner Installations to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. Our client is a company dominating the Aerospace industry with the manufacturing of aircrafts and helicopters. As a Mechanical Planner Installations, you will play a crucial role in the company\’s turnkey development centre, transforming customer requirements into high-quality, bespoke solutions. Your responsibilities will include: – Accurately interpreting data to determine whether parts can be internally or externally manufactured – Reviewing material specifications for subcontractor-manufactured parts – Producing detailed work orders that can be used by the workforce to manufacture, install parts or create kits – Regularly reviewing data released from the company\’s design office – Estimating man-hours required to carry out work – Ensuring a steady flow of work orders that remains ahead of workforce demand – Creating bills of materials for parts ordering – Liaising with subcontractors and finding new ones that meet the company\’s quality requirements To be successful in this Mechanical Planner Installations role, you should have: – Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and associated data – Preferably recent experience of manufacturing parts to close tolerance – Experience of aircraft modifications – Strong communication and self-motivation skills – Openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working – Knowledge of and a high regard for Health and Safety standards – Knowledge of SAP – Pro-active, flexible and autonomous approach – Ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders – Knowledge of CAA Part 21G (an advantage) If you are interested in this position and would like to know more, please apply with your updated CV and one of our consultants will be in touch.
