An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP), authorised to 66kV or above, to support high-voltage operations within a major offshore renewable energy environment. The role is suited to a seasoned HV professional with strong electrical safety knowledge and offshore wind experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe systems of work, including risk assessments, audits, and incident reporting.
- Perform SAP duties and coordinate with the Lead SAP regarding switching and authorisation activities.
- Prepare, review, and execute switching schedules.
- Provide isolations and safety documentation in line with relevant electrical safety rules.
- Support testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems and deliver supervision where required.
- Contribute to wider commissioning activities, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Requirements
- Full GWO certification: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
- Valid offshore medical including Chester Step.
- HUET qualification.
- Strong understanding of WTSRs and Model Distribution Safety Rules.
- Experience with WTGs, TPs, IACs and OSS/OSP infrastructure.
- ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Current SAP authorisation at 66kV (33kV SAPs with multi-feed experience may also be considered).
Rotation
Standard rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, with potential variation to 3-week cycles depending on project needs.
