About the Role:
We\’re looking for a Design Structures Authoriser to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting wing component delivery. This role is key to ensuring high-quality design support across manufacturing operations, with a focus on structural and systems modifications that improve production efficiency, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design investigations and develop technical solutions for modifications to type design, flow mods, and other production-related tasks.
  • Ensure all design, airworthiness, and safety requirements are met, collaborating with cross-functional teams for integrated solutions.
  • Act as a lead design engineer with recognised design authorisation, providing technical guidance and governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across methods, processes, and capabilities.
  • Report on critical technical issues and mentor engineering team members.

Main Activities:

  • Approve and authorise design solutions, including major/minor modifications and design query notes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring, helping to identify and close skill gaps within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards and liaise with stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., CVE, Chief Engineer, Configuration Management).
  • Support airworthiness certification and configuration management processes.
