A leading aerospace and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Supply Chain & Quality Manager to support operational supplier performance across a diverse global supply base. This role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, robust quality performance and continuous improvement across detail-parts suppliers supporting major aircraft programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary operational interface with suppliers.
- Manage supply chain and quality activities, ensuring delivery, quality and cost performance.
- Assess suppliers during tendering and support supplier selection.
- Monitor supplier capability, capacity and industrial maturity.
- Lead quality approval activities and ensure compliance with required standards.
- Support new product introduction, qualification activities and engineering changes.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and drive recovery actions when required.
- Lead supplier performance improvement projects and report on performance metrics.
- Travel to UK/EU supplier sites as required.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering or Customer Support.
- Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals and product/engineering processes.
- Knowledge of quality standards (QMS, Nadcap, EMS) and non-conformance processes (NC, NOE, QSR).
- Experience in supplier performance management, crisis management and SAP.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Manufacturing or machining background advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage suppliers across multiple regions.
