- Samudra Oceans : London (Old Street) — Full-time
About us
Samudra builds NIRA, an AI-powered platform for real-time marine environmental monitoring : foundational infrastructure for understanding what’s actually happening in the ocean.
Our customers are port authorities, marina networks, aquaculture operators and conservation bodies across Europe and beyond.
We’re pre-Series A, and the commercial work you’d be doing directly shapes where the company goes next.
The role
This is a first commercial role for someone at the start of their career.
You’ll be at the front of our pipeline: researching target organisations, opening conversations, representing us at industry events, and booking qualified meetings for our senior commercial team.
You’ll sit close to the founders and see how deals actually get built in a technical, long-cycle market.
- What we’re looking for
- You’re a natural conversationalist.
You’re energised by meeting new people, you build rapport quickly, and you’re not fazed by picking up the phone or walking into a room of strangers.
- You’re genuinely curious about markets … who buys, why, what changes their mind. That interest matters more to us than a polished CV or a specific degree.
- You’re organised enough to follow up reliably. In our market, the deal often goes to whoever remembered.
- You want to be materially better in six months than you are today. You ask questions, you take feedback well, and you don’t need to be right straight away.
You do not need experience in ocean tech, hardware or environmental science.
We’ll teach you the domain.
A second European language … Spanish, Italian or French especially …would be genuinely useful given where we’re expanding.
What you’ll get
Real ownership early, direct exposure to customers and to the founding team, travel to industry events across Europe, and a clear path to growing into a full commercial role as we scale.
You’ll be learning from people who’ve built and sold companies before.
We’re building a team from a wide range of backgrounds and we’d encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every line above.
