We’re looking for an experienced Senior RF Engineer to take ownership of critical RF and microwave work packages, covering module development, antenna design, test, and production support for advanced engineering products. This is a hands‑on senior role for someone who enjoys technical leadership, deep RF problem‑solving, and working across the full product lifecycle – from requirements and design through to manufacture and in‑service support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development of RF modules and antenna systems, using internal teams and external partners.
- Maintaining and improving existing RF and antenna designs, including obsolescence management.
- Deriving, managing, and verifying RF and antenna requirements and specifications.
- Providing RF and antenna expertise to Supply Chain, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers.
- Supporting external RF/antenna designs and maintaining production test solutions.
- Supporting RF module manufacture, including trend analysis and root‑cause investigation.
- Ensuring engineering procedures and quality standards are consistently applied.
- Estimating, planning, and managing small technical work packages.
- Producing and maintaining clear, accurate technical documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong experience in PCB design at microwave frequencies, including schematic manipulation and layout review.
- In‑depth knowledge of RF components such as HPAs, LNAs, limiters, circulators, filters, mixers, and PLLs.
- Experience with RF system design and cascade analysis.
- Hands‑on use of RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Strong understanding of antenna theory, design, and test, including array, slotted, and printed antennas.
- Design for testability and manufacturability, with experience supporting production (e.g., SMT environments).
- Self‑motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Altium for PCB design.
- Experience using Altair RF and antenna simulation tools.
- Background in radar or communications systems.
- Knowledge of digital electronics or power supply design.
- Experience With Requirements Management or Systems Engineering.
- Test automation using MATLAB or Python.
- Understanding of EMC and regulatory compliance (FCC, ITU, ETSI).
