What You’ll Be Doing

  • On‑going maintenance of a large Ion Exchange water treatment plant
  • Leading Maintenance Projects
  • Refurbishment and fabrication of company parts and specific equipment including PVC and Stainless‑Steel pipework
  • Fulfilment of facility maintenance tasks
  • Fault finding, installing, and maintaining instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) through preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the site’s DCS/control systems
  • Complete testing of electrical circuits and panels, to ensure systems are safe and compliant with regulations
  • Instrument Calibration/Validation
  • Use Safety Risk Assessments and comply with these requirements
  • Work overtime during evenings/mornings and weekends if required
  • Customer site visits if required (only expected in emergencies)
  • Participate in trainings and team meetings
  • Do regular 5S/housekeeping activities on the site
  • Participate in LEAN/KAIZEN activities on shop floor

Qualifications

Essential

  • Electrical qualifications (NVQ3 in electrical based units, City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in industrial electrical works
  • Previously worked in Industrial area, assembly or other operational role
  • Proved record of EHS and Quality awareness
  • Experience with 415V equipment
  • Fabrications/Welding experience with PVC and stainless‑steel pipework, valves, and fittings
  • Able to work individually or within a team of qualified fitters, fabricators/welders, and electricians

Desirable

  • City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in the Water treatment industry
