Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Warehouse Clerk to work for a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider based in Montrose.
Role: Warehouse Clerk
Pay rate: £26,774 per annum (£12.87/hour)
Job type: Temporary to permanent (12 weeks temporary, then permanent upon successful 9 weeks probation)
Location: Montrose, DD10
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:54am – 4:30pm; Friday 7:54am – 4:00pm
Hours per week: 40 hours (30 minutes unpaid lunch each day)
Overtime: Not available

The Role:
- Adhering to H&S policies and procedures on site.
- Ordering stock based on customer requirements.
- Expediting and maintaining order books; checking upcoming orders and chasing delivery times.
- Raising purchase orders (POs) on customers’ behalf; completing weekly stock cycling and counting checks; keeping the team informed.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and stock movements on client and customer systems.
- Resolving purchasing and supplier invoice queries.
- Be comfortable taking autonomy and responsibility of the warehouse/stores area, implementing own initiative alongside managerial guidance to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the customer.
- Housekeeping of stores and office area; maintain 5S principles.
The Successful Candidate:
- Basic IT literacy; professional email correspondence and use of MS Office for data entry; able to adapt to ERP systems on-site.
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with the customer professionally on-site during challenging, fast-paced and sometimes pressured circumstances.
- Admin or customer-facing experience in MRO, engineering or supply chain sectors is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands, show initiative, and be willing to undertake training provided for the role.
- Forklift Pivot truck use required; full training will be provided.
