Our client is a leading technical services and engineering provider operating within complex industrial environments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Technician to join their specialist maintenance team across multiple sites in the East Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills and experience working on industrial plant and utility systems.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, commissioning, and operational support across a range of industrial utility plant and building services equipment.
- Typical Equipment Will Include
- Steam and hot water boiler systems
- Air source heat pumps
- Compressed air systems
- Water treatment plant
- BMS systems
- PLC, SCADA and control systems
- Associated electrical and mechanical infrastructure You will act as a key technical contact on site, working closely with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure service delivery standards and contractual commitments are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on industrial plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Prepare and issue permits to work and oversee equipment isolations.
- Support commissioning and decommissioning activities.
- Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and housekeeping.
- Operate and maintain site utility systems to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Utilise the site maintenance management system to manage work activities.
- Liaise with contractors and support specialist projects where required.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Candidate Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Maintenance (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
- Experience working with PLC and industrial control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues.
- Understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe isolation procedures.
- High Voltage Authorised Person status would be advantageous, although training may be provided.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit engineering team.
