They are looking for a sheet metal worker to join the mechanical engineering team in their well‑equipped and well‑ventilated workshop in Tutbury. The role is ideal for someone with extensive sheet metal work and general fabrication experience, particularly with stainless steel sheet, to produce finished items. The work is varied and will include the fabrication of storage tanks, vessels, troughs, duct work and bespoke one‑off pieces, all produced from engineering drawings supplied by the design team.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate 3 mm sheet metal to produce bespoke engineering pieces.
- Work from technical engineering drawings.
- Use materials such as stainless steel and mild steel.
- Polish and finish pieces to hygiene standard.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Time served or qualified fabricator/sheet metal worker.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Experience with TIG welding is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence (site works may be required).
- Live within a commutable distance of DE13 9LY.
Key Details:
- Hours – Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
