6‑month+ contract position – Monday‑Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Our client redesigns and improves industrial processes for the UK food and beverage industry. They design, manufacture, and install large process vessels, machinery, and pipework. They seek an experienced pipe‑fitter welder to support projects across the South West of England.
Duties
- Work on site at a food production facility in Lifton, Devon.
- Fabricate and butt‑weld back‑purged, schedule 40, 2”‑to‑8” OD (60.3 mm‑to 219 mm) carbon‑steel thin‑wall and 25 mm‑to 100 mm metric stainless‑steel pipework.
- Fabricate brackets and supporting structures and assist other pipe‑fitter welders as required.
About You
- Based ideally in Devon or Cornwall; must live within commutable distance to PL16 0AA.
- Demonstrable experience of fitting and TIG welding thin‑wall process pipework in a food, drink, or petro‑chemical processing environment.
- Good all‑round welding experience and current or previous relevant coding to support your expertise.
- Will provide full PPE and tools (air‑fed mask, welding set, power tools and pipe stands).
In return for experience, you will receive excellent hourly rates. This position starts immediately.
