About The Role
Opportunity to work in the cutting edge of R&D in the biopharmaceutical industry at a globally leading CDMO. Role involves helping develop novel molecular and synthetic biology constructs, culturing mammalian cells in flasks and small-scale bioreactors, high throughput DNA assembly and analytical methodologies, whilst also ensuring the good maintenance of the laboratories.
Responsibilities
- 90-100% lab-based position focusing on the generation of new plasmids for the expression of complex biological molecules.
- DNA sequencing processing and assessment.
- Culture mammalian cell lines in flasks and small-scale bioreactors and perform analytical procedures such as high throughput protein quantification, and others, as required by the project.
- Prepare media and feeds from basal components.
- Write high-quality reports about the project and present the findings to R&D team.
- Keep electronic laboratory notebooks to a high standard and contribute to the routine maintenance of the laboratory space and equipment.
- Confident with computers and willing to learn automation.
- Perform Other Duties As Assigned.
Education & Experience
- BSc or MSc in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or other Biology based course.
- Work Experience: Entry Level: Biological/Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry key focus on molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
- Basic working knowledge of core molecular biology techniques required.
- Practical experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture techniques is preferable.
