Trainee Shot Peen (Plating) in Bromley

Role Responsibilities

• Undergo comprehensive training to understand the principles of shot peening, grit blasting, and operation of shot peening equipment, as well as technical drawings within EASA 145 standards.
• Assist experienced shot peen operatives in the setup and operation of shot peening machines.
• Learn to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine shot peening requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of shot peening equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in shot peening operation.

Skills and Experience Required

• Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Previous experience of working in an engineering environment.
• Previous experience in a shot peening or grit blasting environment (desirable).
