Role Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training to understand the principles of shot peening, grit blasting, and operation of shot peening equipment, as well as technical drawings within EASA 145 standards.
- Assist experienced shot peen operatives in the setup and operation of shot peening machines.
- Learn to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine shot peening requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of shot peening equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in shot peening operation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Previous experience of working in an engineering environment.
- Previous experience in a shot peening or grit blasting environment (desirable).
