Overview: Pipe Fitter Welder - TIG Stainless Steel – Milton Keynes, MK17 8FL. 4 Month + Contract Position, Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:30pm, paid 10 hours per day. This role supports a process pipework and plant installation project within the food processing industry.
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The work includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and other engineering services in the food and beverage sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter TIG welder to join the mechanical engineering division in Milton Keynes, MK17 8FL.
Duties:
- Work on-site at a drink manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes, MK17 8FL.
- Fabricate and weld pipework using TIG welding on schedule 40 carbon steel and schedule 10/40 stainless steel, including some thin-wall metric stainless pipework (2 mm wall thickness).
- Fabricate brackets and associated supports.
- Assist other pipe fitter welders as necessary.
About You:
- Ideally located in Buckinghamshire and within a commutable distance of MK17 8FL.
- Demonstrable experience fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework in food, drink or petrochemical processing environments is essential.
- Good all-round welding experience with current or previous TIG pipe coding is a definite advantage.
Remuneration & Availability:
- Hourly rate between £30.00 CIS and £35.00 CIS per hour, plus a range of benefits.
- This is an immediate start.
