About the Role
Carbon Synergy is looking to expand its MEP team with an Electrical Estimator/Designer position. It is a full‑time, office‑based role based in Hull, focused on technical excellence, energy efficiency, innovation, and quality craftsmanship.
Typical Day
- Catching up with the team and finding out if there is anything urgent project‑wise that you might need to help with.
- Working with CAD drawings – putting together layouts, adding annotations, and integrating line sketches into drawings.
- Maintaining SoR pricing on templates to ensure they are up to date and accurate.
- Identifying any potential clashes on CAD drawings, and coordinating with the team to ensure the projects run smoothly.
- Maintaining prebuilds on the systems (simPRO & Groundplan), in line with client specifications.
Responsibilities
Support the Design & Estimation team and perform CAD‑related tasks, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date documentation and coordination across projects.
Ideal Candidate
- Competent with MS Excel – spreadsheets and manipulation are a key element of the role.
- Experience with CAD is a plus, but we welcome quick learners capable of picking up new systems.
- Recent graduate in Building Services or Electrical Engineering, or an engineer/junior professional already working within the industry seeking a close‑knit team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and the ability to use initiative.
